Do I need to book ahead?

Yes for All Safari Tents and unpowered sites - Please book online!

Prior to your arrival, please check in at the Art Gallery in Ardyaloon. (White Building on main road driving into the community). 

Art Gallery Opening Hours:

Mon - Fri    8.30am to 3.30pm

Sat & Sun   9am to 2pm

 

Fish Trap Cafe (on site) Opening Hours:

BREAKFAST 

8am to 10am 

DINNER 

5 - 7pm

Mobile phone coverage

The is limited Telstra Coverage on the Dampier Peninsula. Telstra connected phones have good coverage at Gambanan.

Can I bring my boat?

The islands around Dampier Penisula can only be accessed with a Traditional Owner. Therefore no boats are able to be launched from Gambanan. 

Available facilities

Main Campground (requires 4WD):
Water, showers toilets, camp kitchen, communal fire pit and communal eating area around Fishtrap Cafe.
No power. 

Group Bookings Campground (2WD area):
Showers and toilets, tap and hand washing facilities. 

Can I bring my generator?

Yes! Only to be used during daylight hours from 10 am to 4pm. Please let us know when you arrive and be courteous to your neighbours. 

Crocodiles and swimming

You must be croc wise at all times. 

Cancellation policy

Cancellations for camping must be made with 48 hours notice for a full refund.

Cancellations for safari tents must be made with 7 days notice for a full refund. 

Can I have a fire?

Yes! In the provided camp fire pits.
No due to cultural reasons you cannot collect fire wood. Fire wood can be purchased at the Fish Trap Cafe.
